THANK YOU for a wonderful weekend!

Hi everyone,

A massive thank you to everyone who visited the Sydney Made Art & Design Markets as well as the Sydney Made team for such an amazingly well organised event. I've never been in one of these markets before, so it was absolutely fantastic and great to sort of "reboot" and see many fresh faces as well as those who probably know me so well via socials, but haven't met in person. As a maker, it's always a bit of a concern when you wonder if you are doing the right thing, how well my handmade products are received - but everyone was so lovely and it was just that bit of encouragement to get me going and making again! Thank you!

I also finally made it to SMASH! as a guest *tears of joy* and I made it in and out in one piece. It was a crazy big event and it was just super fun. There were many instances where I felt like "am I in the right place?" and looked lost as I was indeed quite lost lol. I would like to thank the attendees of my short polymer clay talk (it ended a little early but that's because I was talking a bit too fast and wanted some time at the end for you all to come and look at the work up close as well as leave some time for the next panel to transition in), and I hope that you all have the confidence to start something special with your new knowledge about polymer clay. You all were so lovely T_T Thank you so much.

My talk erred on the side of technical, but I hope that it will help you have a smoother journey than I did. I spent a lot of time doing trial and error, making mistakes and then learning from them - I know there's nothing more frustrating than wanting to make something, but not being able to because the tools or the medium are not right, or having small technical things affect the overall quality and finish. Thank you so much to the SMASH! team for approving my guest panel talk - I will forever treasure my pass and hopefully next year I'll be a part of SMASH! but not as a guest, and I'll bring a +1 along so that I wouldn't be so lonelyyyyy (guest pass was only for myself and as you all know, tickets were sold out this year so I was incredibly lucky and honoured to attend as a guest).

I have made the decision to sit out of August's The Cannery Markets as I have a severe depletion of stock (my luggage case was super heavy and now it's lighter than before I started my restock) - in fact during the market I freaked out as I ran out of my cut care instruction cards (had to cut some more from my spares). I also have been suffering from a lack of sleep for most of July so far, so I would like to take the chance to chill, take a bit of time to actually sleep, go to the gym and restock as well as plan out my next release.

Thank you to everyone once again and hopefully I will be back (online) during August with something new and exciting (because you all know, boring is not my thing).

Yours,
