Hi everyone!

I've been flat out busy this week. It was a solid week of preparing parts, designing something new, getting things done - it has been crazy. This week I asked a question on Instagram stories, asking what earring do you need/ want, but does not exist? 

I'm all about problem solving here, and as you all probably know, earrings at Mochi La Vie are done a bit differently. I honestly do test out and figure out what looks good, so you don't need to figure it out. The only feedback I get usually though is how to even choose! Yes! I know! Even I have a hard time parting with all my earrings because each and every pair are so versatile and will look amazing on the lobes.

Anyway, the flower for this week was the rose (suggested colour was red) with freshwater pearls. Just on that note, I am secretly a bit scared of the colour red - I find it just so bright and bold and I usually avoid it when I can. I took the challenge though, because I wanted to revisit roses as I just made them for a bespoke order, and I somehow magically can make them really well now. I'm not saying the white roses I did several months back were bad or anything, but suddenly this just clicked and it was a very enjoyable process of chasing beautiful roses of all different shapes and sizes.

Fairy core was the voted theme - a few also voted for the new "Classic: Made to Order" style... but I am not sure if I can pull off a huge red rose. Haha - that's really not my style, so sorry, I gave it a pass. Surprisingly, a lot also preferred my usual style (combined shapes in drop earring styles) - so that's about it.

This series is pretty special to me as it has really shown to me that I can still keep going and get better and better at what I do. I think what I have created is magical, and I really can't display it through the screen via a photo or a video well enough to show how they really look in real life. I have updated my reviews section on the front page, and to echo Amy (who purchased a pair of the LOTUS in Moonshine), the earrings look SO much better in real life than in the photos. I purposely take photos that look like the real thing, but never better than the real thing... because how can a photo be better anyway?

Stay tuned... the release is coming within the next 48 hours. I would release it sooner, but we're currently in thunderstorm mode in Sydney right now... and there is no lighting. I would whip out some studio lighting, but that in my experience is so artificial... I'll see how it is tomorrow and maybe I'll do a studio setup.

Hope you've all been safe and happy now that we're out of lockdown. I know a lot of us are still voluntarily at home, hopefully numbers will go down further and here's to a safe upcoming Christmas.
