Hi everyone!

For those who have been following me on Instagram, you will know about this new release that's coming around the corner. 

It was so dramatic and I still couldn't believe how I pulled through. I mean, it wasn't such a big deal, but completing my earrings to find my oven was broken was a pretty shocking discovery. The second problem was getting the oven to bake the way I wanted it to, as there was a very big temperature variance. This lockdown really isn't helping, because I would in a heartbeat go and buy an oven thermometer... except I couldn't. The great news now is that I don't need one now, as I think I have found the right balance and settings.

Before I started selling polymer clay earrings, I actually went through a ton of trial and error - but the temperature setting was usually bang on (or at least I believed so), so I never needed to change anything. Changing to a small oven was a really big change, but I think these earrings were baked better than anything else in the past.

The earrings I am launching on Saturday will actually be the second batch I made, as I was not satisfied with the first batch. This is the first time this has ever happened (and hopefully will be the last) as it was very time consuming and stressful as you all can appreciate. I was supposed to actually launch two different sets of earrings, but unfortunately due to the oven hiccup, time could only allow the sunflowers. Luckily though, things seemed to work out and the second batch was much better than the first, and due to a few tweaks here and there, I ended up saving a bit of time as I didn't need to sand as much. 

If you've been following me on Instagram, please continue to keep an eye on it as tomorrow I will start to release teasers/ sneak previews, and the full release will be at 3PM AEST on Saturday. There are only 4 pairs of earrings, so it is a very limited release. I'm taking today/tonight off as I got my COVID vaccination this morning and although my movement is perfectly fine, I am feeling a bit of numbness and lightheadedness. Tomorrow will be photography day.
