Postponed Markets
Posted by Misa on 2nd Jul 2021
Hi everyone! (and hello July)
Hope you all are safe and warm during this lockdown (sadly no longer limited to NSW, but together we can make this end sooner x).
The Cannery Markets Rosebery has been postponed from July to August (new dates are on my POP UP page). I'll make another update when I hear more about Kirribilli (falls in an awkward time frame just after the lockdown ends, but with the numbers we're seeing currently it's kind of grey).
Two more masks will be uploaded later this week - I wish I could make more, but sadly as my navy lining ran out I can't make more until I go out to buy more fabric. I did put out an Instagram story about a dusty pink lining - and these will be in the new masks I'll upload later. It's a bit of a shame, but this time round I picked a lot of similar colour fabrics, so not all of them will match a dusty pink. I am very mis-matchy and love contrast, but currently I'm not feeling it. I might make another one to test it out and see... but we'll see. I haven't managed to get around to the other half of MEDLEY scarves just yet... maybe a project I'll do later today.
I have a bit of a clay mind block right now, and I'm trying to plan out what I would like to make next. It's quite difficult to move on when you make something as detailed as the CHIZURU earring and try to beat yourself. Maybe I should just make something that I simply like. For now though, there are a ton of things crying out to me, but none I feel I can execute properly just yet (maybe the timing isn't right, or I haven't managed to compose them in my mind just yet).
Given the lockdown situation I'm still waiting for market application results to come back - maybe another week or two. I'm working my way in unexpected places and trying to get my work seen more on socials and hopefully media (I can really only just hope for this one).
Once again, stay safe, and keep warm this super cold winter - I've been buying thermals (heattech doesn't do it enough for me, so I have officially converted to another brand) like mad, and usually I refuse to wear them, because I think it limits my wardrobe selection. Not any more D:
