The other day I checked my business mail box and found a letter from AusPost advising that their next postage fee adjustment will be on the 3rd January 2023.

I've been running Mochi La Vie for about 1 year and 9 months now, and have not adjusted my postage prices despite having several postage increases during this time. As you can appreciate, I do not have enough parcel volume to offer a discounted postage rate, however if I do move up to the next band, I will be able to offer a more competitive postage rate. This means that I am looking at sending a parcel almost every other day  Currently I am absorbing any postage rate incentive, and this is not sustainable on the long term.

As AusPost are yet to advise the exact postage costs, the tentative postal rates will be updated to:

Flat rate $10.50 within Australia | Express Post $13.50
Free postage within Australia for orders over $90
International rates to be adjusted when rates are announced

AusPost offers the widest service within Australia (including rural addresses, PO Boxes, Locked Bags and Parcel Lockers) which is currently in my opinion, superior to other delivery systems in Australia. Being the largest postal network, their tracking system is still reliable and easy to use. I would like to continue to offer this service, even in light of their postage costs, for your and my peace of mind - as at the end of the day, I feel that a safe delivery is better than an unreliable delivery.
