June Markets and Website Updates

Hello everyone! Writing this blog post on a very very cold Sydney morning - the sun's out after overnight rain, but the temperature could be much warmer!
I've uploaded all but maybe 2 pairs of the new CHIYOGAMI Cherry Blossom Paper Studs, so they are all ready to purchase online. I've been proven again and again that everyone's tastes are incredibly different (I make certain colours or patterns believing they won't be popular, but I'm always wrong and sell out), so I've added a lot of different colours and patterns to the mix to test out. If you thought that I couldn't outdo my last restock, think again - there are still literally thousands I haven't made yet. Hopefully this restock will last me a while (because sitting for 2.5 hours just doing the resin finish is not really my thing haha), but if it all sells, I won't be sad! Speaking of which, I have made about 100 pairs in total since I've started now - talk about busy hands at work!
And the RYUMA earrings are finally up. Sorry it took so long - I just couldn't find a good time to photograph them properly.
I've been busy mostly being behind the scenes figuring out where I will be in July and later this year. Yes, it's the beginning of June - but it's fast approaching mid-June and I need to plan myself (if I don't I feel like I'm not doing anything). All I can really do now is just wait (and it's always a very anxious waiting game) with all my fingers crossed. I've also got a ton of ideas in my mind that I would like to execute and try out. I've always told myself to keep my scope as simple and within reach as possible (because it's not always possible to make everything - I don't have the skill sets for everything), but I did realise that with my new set up it was finally super clear that I had a paper, polymer clay and textiles category clearly laid out - and I think that really helped for those who ever saw my stall for the first time. It was always in my mind obviously as I am the one who makes things, but it was difficult to display consistently - but finally, the display is now all set.
I'm also in the middle of finding new suppliers for fabrics - nothing wrong with my current supplier (and I do have a few), but I am looking for more variety and the element of surprise, so that I can create items that are really unique. I can say it is a rather stressful process right now, and yet another waiting game for me. I am a shopaholic myself, so I am trusting myself in my buying choices - and that's all I can do for now.
Mochi La Vie right now is a bit like a candy store (check the name out), and that's the direction I'm headed - so let's keep this ball rolling. Hopefully when I get my textiles and a workflow planned, things will only just get better!
Sorry I babble a lot and digress all the time - there's so much going on in my head that I would love to share, but at the same time need to keep secret so that there's anticipation/ surprise. I also can't guarantee I can make what's in my head so I don't want to share my disappointment (if any).
Alright, I'm going to get back to work (because the paper cranes are still not finished!), and hopefully I get a mini batch of fabric soon in the mail. I've ordered them a week ago from a new supplier, and they should have been here last week, but it still hasn't happened. A bit stressed and pressed for time...
