Happy Easter, Glebe Markets Reflection Blog and daylight savings!

Hi everyone!

Happy Easter - wishing you and your families have a safe and happy Easter.

Yesterday I was at Glebe Markets for the first time ever - the stallholders and community were really friendly, and wow, it was absolutely bustling! I can't compare it to any other Saturday, as I'm not really a regular and I can't compare a public holiday with a regular weekend, but I can certainly see the charm and how incredibly busy it is.

I had a great day at Glebe! At first I wasn't so sure because it wasn't a market well known for handmade goods, but it turned out that everyone was very positive and very happy to see something handmade. Due to fast pace of the market though, not everyone could stay for too long to actually take in everything (I know I have a lot of stuff, especially now that I *actually* have things on the table!), so it was a bit of a shame. I intentionally chose a quieter spot, so those who did stay long enough would have a nice time doing so.

Thank you for all those who left me really nice comments (a lot of visitors would talk amongst themselves with friends and comment on the maker who "must have had a lot of patience" and similar - I think you didn't realise I was the maker! But that's ok, because I don't think you would have expected it ;) ), made a purchase, or intended make a purchase! I'd like to thank all of you for even noticing and I hope that at the very least, I have successfully taken you down a little trip to Japan without you even realising you were still in Sydney :)

I'm not sure if I'll return to Glebe Markets any time soon, but I'll be around and of course, there's my website so you can do any online shopping you need. I'll also start doing a mini restock of the paper cranes again, because that was my best selling item for the day. Rest assured, I can do this freely now - I originally had a shortage of parts but now I've stocked up and I'm absolutely ready to go whenever.

My next market will be Sunday the 11th April at Kirribilli Markets. I'll be inside the Burton Street Tunnel (location not yet known, but definitely out of the rain!!!) and the weather forecast looks to be a lovely day, though starting to cool as we ease more into Autumn.

I'm in the process of also figuring out where I will be in May, because I've been working very hard to get this Mother's Day campaign rolling. A few pieces are already gone, so if you have an eye on anything, please be quick - I will not restock/ remake the Orchid or Magnolia collections - and if I do, they will be a complete new release and will look entirely different.

I've been making stall applications left right and centre for May, trying to see where would be the best fit for me. Maybe there is no best fit, and I should be everywhere providing everyone with a holiday experience - but there's only one of me - I wish I could split into more!

Anyway, I've been rambling on enough. My next order despatch date is Tuesday 6th April 2021 due to the Easter long weekend. I'll be in the door of my local Auspost first thing in the morning to get the Easter orders into their delivery system and for those in Sydney, your order should arrive before Friday, so you can get them before the weekend.

Thank you again for a really warm and interesting market experience, Glebe Markets!
