Where do I even begin? Hello!
This retail pop up was actually planned for since around March last year, so yes, it was a long time coming and this plan survived two lockdowns - and it's now finally here *insert heart eye emoticon*

Bendigo Bank Leichhardt has been very generous and is allowing Mochi La Vie to stay in their retail pop up space for the next two weeks, dates and address below. I might finish a bit early on the first Wednesday (I didn't realise I had a dentist appointment... but the good thing is that my dentist is actually located literally across the road/ Norton Street), so if I can stay until 3pm, I absolutely will. I will duck out and finish up however, if it's my turn to sit in the dentist's chair.

I will try to make some stuff in the space while I'm there, but it won't be the first day as I will probably take a while sorting out the display and I am planning to do something cool with the window. As you all know, I'm not really an artist - I do the occasional doodle, but I'll try to be brave and come up with something interesting. You know, something that will make you smile and will make your day just even better. I know times are tough - I don't manage well sometimes, but the whole point of Mochi La Vie was never really about myself, but it was more about making a whole bunch of people (like you!) happy to own something special, or see something that reminds you of a fond memory, having a collection of things that generally spark joy and make you happy. 

I'm really excited about the pop up and have always been. It's been a really long time since I went to "work" ever since becoming a stay at home mum, so hopefully I still have it. I apologise in advance for forever being socially awkward - I promise I wasn't like this always.

There have been so many amazing makers who have been in this space, and I hope that I can do the space some justice. When I first asked about the space, it was just me and my little hair clips and paper earrings. Now I have a whole collection of crazy things. I'm also well aware I'm pretty different - so hopefully that point of difference is what it takes to take you on a spiritual journey overseas.

In my recent days I've started to also progress into a "Cute Collection", which will slowly increase in size over time. I never really thought of my work as cute, but there was a little element of it with my first ever "cute" earrings being Mt Fuji in Spring. Cute things always cheer people up, so there's more yet to come.
