AYA Collection now live on the website

Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I've released a full collection of anything really, but the AYA collection is just something a little different and special. It's still fancy, there's still detail in it, but it's just very different in terms of the shapes/ forms, colours, and adding in genuine Swarovski crystals was also the icing on top. They are super shiny in real life, but no matter how I tried to take a video or photo in the light, it just would not do justice to the earrings. Trust me, I only list/ make things that I would personally wear, and the AYA collection will not disappoint.
I didn't mention too much about the making process of the AYA earrings as I didn't want my posts or listings too long... I guess I can do that here in a blog post. They took me a lifetime and a half. Lol. I used a slightly different method to colour my clay... and I was very unsure of where it was headed. A while back I did an experimental sample piece and liked it enough to bake it (though as purely a sample piece, like a small tile) and decided to implement it into this collection. The crystals were chosen and deliberated over for a very long time as I was hoping they would help realise my vision of a radiant, dazzling statement earring piece. I did research to ensure that the crystals will be secure and stay brilliant over a long period of time.
It was also fun experimenting with different shapes, including using cutters on cutters to get different shapes - and using some super fine chains which were actually from a batch of faulty ear threads (yes sad - the chains were from ear chains that could not be salvaged, so I repurposed/saved them). The chains were incredibly fine (I knew this a while back and got some super tiny jump rings for them), and now they've been put to great use. Back in those days I worked in a fine jewellery boutique and we were usually in awe when the jeweller repaired fine chains and whatnot. Sometimes as floor staff, we'd try our hand at doing repairs too... ahhh fun times.
The first order with an AYA earring will get an extra special goodie in their order - and I like it when orders are placed because it gives me a valid reason to do a post office run. I've been staying home, and sometimes it's nice to go for a walk.
I'm going to have a little break before I start on making some funny Halloween earrings. It might take a little extra push for me to get motivated, because once I start working on earrings I am sitting and not moving for a solid two days minimum. I think this lockdown has really taken a bit of a toll on me... I'm getting very unmotivated and I need to be more active. I miss being at markets because they force me to wake up early, hustle to get stuff done, and I'm standing, not sitting. SIGH.
PS: I lodge all your parcels personally at my local AusPost as I ensure they scan in the parcel. I do prepay all my parcels and do my labels at home to minimise my time spent at the post office, but if I put the parcel into a post box, and it's "lost" or not scanned, there's no insurance or compensation that can be claimed. FYI in case if you didn't know, or if you were also a small business owner and didn't know this was a thing.
